Minimizing Meltdowns, with Maria Kennedy

As a teacher of 2e students at Bridges Academy, Maria Kennedy, MEd says the first question to ask is, “Why?” There is always a cause for disruptive behavior. When you learn what that cause is, you and your child can develop a strategy to work through the trigger instead of just addressing the symptoms.

Maria explains the importance of self advocacy so students can know what they need in order to learn best and how to ask for it.
