I live in Austin, TX. My daughter is diagnosed ADHD, SPD and Anxiety. We have had good success with “Spectrum Services” for behavioral strategies and really understanding the complexities of my daughter and putting it all in a positive, helpful light. Our Psychologist, Dr Kristen Trocin can recommend strategies specific to my daughter’s uniqueness, even though Dr T is very well trained in Spectrum disorders.

There are 2 exceptional people who stand out who understood my son’s the 2e brain so well:

1- OT who specializes in fine motor skills and even creative writing. My son went from dreading the act of writing to enjoying all the excercises he was given for homework. The company is called Scribbles2Script (based in Phoenix, Arizona). But, don’t let the name limit your thinking, they do vision therapy, sensory motor integration, etc.

2- A middle & high school teacher who was working for a private online school called Well-Trained Mind Academy. He worked so well with my son and was able to take my son from his “meltdown” moods to being productive and thriving. He was available for private summer tutoring and it was well worth our time & money: Mr. Thomas Hummel.
